We welcome guests to our Bed & Breakfast. Please note that along with you there may be other guests staying in Pine Air. Your privacy and theirs should be respected at all times.

 

Please take note of the information provided below –

 

COVID-19 related compliance to SOP
Pine Air Bed and Breakfast adheres to the standard operating procedure (SOP) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 issued by the Tourism Department, Government of Meghalaya. All our staff have taken double vaccination doses and are following the necessary protocols.

All guests must submit copies of their vaccination certificates and IDs before or on the day of their arrival at Pine Air.

 

CARETAKER:
A caretaker family resides in Pine Air property. They also have 4 local breed dogs – Witty and Lexi are females and Milo and PhupPhup are males.

 

PETS:
Pine Air is pet-friendly.

When we have guests, the dogs are let out at night usually after 8 pm or after all, guests are indoors, and are led back to their enclosure in the morning 6/7 am. Many of our guests have enjoyed the company of the dogs as they are mostly playful.

However, for guests who are not comfortable with dogs or who have a cynophobia, we request them to inform us beforehand so we can keep the dogs in their enclosures before the guests arrive and during the time that the guests are in Pine Air premises. The guests should also inform any of the staff if they need to go out after 8 pm or when they arrive at Pine Air after 8 pm.

 

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:

  • Check-in time is 1:00 pm (Can be early depending on room occupancy)
  • Check-out time is 12:00 noon (Can be late depending on room occupancy)

 

STAFF: Our staff includes a housekeeping attendant, a cleaner and multipurpose worker, and a support staff. A tour guide is also available should guests need this service. This is closely associated with Pine Air and is highly rated by our guests. 

 

STAY:
We offer a simple stay experience and expect guests to feel at home and interact freely and openly with our staff. We request and expect guests to respect and follow the house rules.

 

MEALS

 

BREAKFAST: We offer simple COMPLEMENTARY Continental Breakfast between 7.30 am – 9:00 am

  • Please make sure you come to eat your breakfast between the timing mentioned because we strive to keep to time and we will be very grateful if you also respect our timing.

 

LUNCH / DINNER: We offer simple home-cooked meals if requested in advance (at least 3-4 hours before).

  • Simple Veg Meal: Rice, Dal, Vegetables, and Salad @ Rs.200/person
  • Simple Non-Veg Meal: Fish/Chicken/Pork, Rice, Dal/Curry, Vegetables and Salad @ Rs.300/person (If you want Roti please inform in advance)
  • Timing: Lunch: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm     |    Dinner: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
  • A local (KHASI) meal can also be specially made for guests if they want.

Please have your meals during the timing mentioned. If you request for breakfast or lunch or dinner at a particular time (other than the timing mentioned), the time should be before 10:30 am for breakfast, before 3:00 pm for lunch, and before 9:30 pm for dinner.

 

LAUNDRY: We charge Rs.100/load to wash clothes. A load is usually 5-8 clothes. Our Housekeeping Attendant will wash the clothes. You should segregate the clothes that may give off colour from other clothes and inform her. After washing she will hang them to dry on the terrace upstairs. It is the responsibility of the guest to collect the clothes from the hanger (on the terrace).

 

CAFÉ: The You & I Arts Café within Pine Air is being run by my caretaker family. It serves traditional Khasi snacks and meals including different types of tea from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm from Monday to Saturday. Guests are most welcome to experience it.

Both Pine Air and the You & I Arts café are listed on GoogleMaps. You can search for either establishment and you will find us.

HOUSE RULES:

 

TO DO:

  • Follow COVID-19 prevention guidelines at all times.
  • Keep your personal items in a safe place
  • Lock your room when you leave or go out
  • Leave your room key with the Housekeeping Attendant when you leave the house.
  • Use water conservatively and SWITCH OFF the Geyser and Heater before you leave the room.
  • If you want your room to be cleaned please inform the staff in advance and leave the key with her when you leave the room.
  • For guests who have already checked-in and who go out for the day, we request them to return to Pine Air latest by 10:30 pm and to inform the staff in advance about any delay in returning.

 

NOT TO DO:

  • Do not leave cash or valuables in the room
  • Please do not make loud noise/sound in the room after 10:00 pm to respect other guests and neighbours.
  • Please do not throw cigarette buds and other trash from the balcony.
  • Please throw sanitary napkins and diapers in the dustbin provided and not in the commode.
  • Please throw food items including boiled tea leaves and other food items in the dustbin and not in the sink.
  • Please hang your washed undergarments or towels, etc. on the hanger provided inside the bathroom or the hanger on the terrace and not on the balcony railing.
